It has a decent amount of cards and the season pass says they’re adding some of the more recent packs in updates, would be nice if they continue to support it past that but only time will tell. The effects are nice, not anything special but it makes playing decently hype and cool. The gameplay is nice, overdress is a good format and the simulation is great for vanguard standards even when compared to other card game with simulators. The only DLC that matters is the “Additional Card Pass” as it’s basically a season pass for additional incoming content (though I’m not sure if it means you have to pay to even get them in game or if they will be more “Rare Card Set” style DLCs).
They’re just cards that you can earn in game through playing. Don’t buy the “Rare Card Set” DLCs unless you really want to build decks around them from the very beginning of the game. Game can sometimes crash for no reason as well, I have no idea what could be the cause but it’s likely due to the fact that I tab out every now and then since every time I crash has ben a bit after I tab out during a fight. The only thing the trial is missing is a lyrical nation starter deck and deck building. Befriend someone who is a Cardfight!! Vanguard fanatic. If you REALLY have to try this game, try the demo, it’s basically the first few battles of the game and it gives a very good idea of what you’re getting into. Not worth the Steep price though so wait for a sale unless you’re really into vanguard. If you want a Vanguard simulator this game is great but has its flaws.
